Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

I get a lot of the same questions day-to-day… or I’m a very powerful psychic mind-reader. Either way, I hope this saves us both a little time by answering those repeat questions here.

  • No.

    I get this question constantly:
I DO NOT and no shop I work at does piercings of any kind, whatsoever.

  • I do not do in-person consultations. I do all consulting and scheduling online through the Request Appointment email form.

I do not consult or schedule over phone / text.

  • Generally, no.

Since I am by appointment only, it doesn’t leave much time (if any) to accommodate walk-in clientele.

If there is a last-minute cancellation that I want to fill, it will be posted to my Instagram story with instructions / details — it will not be first-come, first-served.

  • If you are a new client or a young client, no.

However, I may consider doing a finger or hand tattoo if you are a long established client of mine.

Wedding band tattoos will still likely be declined.

  • Gmail is free and easy to join!

The form requires a sign-in to Gmail so you can send photos with the appointment request, so it is important.

I have an Alternate Request Form, but it is note the preferred form of contact since you cannot add photos until we reply to you.

I do not reply to DMs or messages on social media.

  • Because that’s not how I book / schedule clients.

Getting messages on many different platforms makes it 10x harder to keep track of everything. I already get behind on email replies sometimes, so spreading that out across many inboxes will just slow things down even more.

If you message me somewhere I did not ask you to specifically do not expect a reply.

  • My goal is to to reply to emails within 3 - 5 weeks.

  • No.

My tattoo designs are typically drawn up on a as-needed basis which means 99% of the time I am drawing your design the morning of your appointment.

This is why having reference photos and giving me all the details you can while we are consulting is so important.

Not to worry — I would never want my clients to get a tattoo that they don’t like. There is always time at your appointment for small tweaks and adjustments.

If you change your mind completely (and do not tell me ahead of time), your appointment will be cancelled / rescheduled.

  • No. Tattoo shops are not kid-friendly spaces for many reasons, so anyone with you must be 18+ only.

If you do not have a sitter or your kids cannot be left home alone, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

  • Yes but clients may bring ONLY ONE guest with them. This guest must also be 18+ years of age, no children.

Bringing a lot of people with you can be distracting to your artist and any other artists working. Additional guests will be asked to leave.

  • The price of a tattoo is based on many factors — how large and/or complicated is the design? Is there color? How well is the client sitting? Etc.

When I reply to your request, I will give you a loose estimate — not a set price — once the details of the tattoo are settled. Again, that number is an ESTIMATE and can change based on many variables.

  • The answer to this is a little complicated — it’s long, but you can read my thoughts and advice here.

  • The answer to both of these questions is no.

I have found that both of these topics cause many more problems than they solve, so I am not interested in either.

When people ask me how they can gift someone a tattoo / session, I recommend just giving them cash towards a tattoo.

  • I do not trade services at this time and I do not take “items of similar value” / non-money payments.

If you make an appointment with me, be prepared to pay for your tattoo with real money.

  • It’s not quite an exact science, so your tattoo will take as long as it takes.

I can give you an estimate but my first priority is giving you a high-quality tattoo, which means taking my time and not cutting corners.

  • According to the manufacturers, both our black and color ink is 100% vegan.

  • I do not do Friday the 13th specials or flash of any kind.

If you are hoping to get a tattoo on Friday the 13th, it will have to be scheduled ahead of time (likely a month or more in advance) I am by appointment only.

This applies to all other holidays and other “special” dates.

  • Absolutely Not.

I am always surprised by this question and I do not appreciate when people ask it. Please do not ask, it’s very rude.

  • I am not looking for receptionists, assistants, or apprentices of any kind.
